The Norwegian travel trade has honored Thailand as the World’s Best Tourist Country 2005.
This is the second consecutive year that Thailand has won the Grand Travel Award. The January 10 annual award presentation ceremony in Oslo was organized by “Travel News”, an independent Norwegian travel trade magazine.
Chitriya Pinthong, Thai Ambassador to Norway, and Nattheera Kachornserilikitkul, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Stockholm Office in Sweden, represented Thailand at the annual award presentation ceremony.
“We are particularly thankful for the award this year. On behalf of the Thai people, I thank Norway for the continuous support and help in this current situation,” said Nattera Kachornserelitkitkul. This was the tenth Grand Travel Award and the accolade was granted to Thailand under the deliberation and decision of the Travel Trade Jury and over 300 travel industry members in Norway.
