Sweden Helps Cambodia Improve Statistical System

The Swedish government has awarded USD2.8 million in aid to the National Statistic Institute of Cambodia in order to improve the country’s statistical survey system.
The aid will be used for developing human resources at the institute and conducting an annual social economic survey in 2006-2008.
An agreement on the aid was signed by Claes Leijon, Swedish Ambassador to Cambodia and To Gary, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Planning in Phnom Penh earlier this week.
