The Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and the Ministry of Public Health of Laos PDR recently signed a cooperation agreement in Vientiane to help the country build a draft national pharmaceutical policy.
Both sides agreed to cooperate in the area over a period of three years, from May 2006 to June 2009, with funding worth 1 million USD.
The project is aimed at enhancing the capacity of officials from central government to grassroots levels in the areas of finance and technical expertise.
