The Vietnamese National Assembly Deputy Chairman Truong Quang Duoc presented the Friendship Order to the Norwegian ambassador Eirik Glenne, former chairman of the working party for Vietnam’s accession to the WTOn Geneva on June 7, during his visit to Switzerland.
Addressing the ceremony, NA deputy chairman Duoc highlighted contributions made by the WTO officials to Vietnam’s negotiations to join the WTO in which Vietnam’s legislative body will improve its legal system to satisfy the country’s demands for integration as well as fulfill Vietnam’s commitments when joining the world’s largest trade organisation, he further said.
The WTO officials committed to providing further assistance to Vietnam to fulfill its rights and duties as an official WTO member.
