The popularity of Thailand as a holiday destination has exploded in Finland, a Statistics Finland (SF) statement revealed on July 27, 2007.
According to SF figures, Finns have had some 90,000 leisure trips to Thailand representing, a jump of 70 percent from the year before.
Apparently, even the devastating tsunami of 2004 failed to reduce the popularity of Thailand among Finnish holidaymakers.
