KOBAY Technology Bhd’s unit, Bend Weld Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM28 million contract from Norway’s Aker Kvaerner Subsea AS for the supply of clip riser joints.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Kobay said Bend Weld has signed a frame agreement with Aker Kvaerner, effective from September 7, 2007 until August 31, 2012, with an option for the latter to extend for another five years.
“The agreement will contribute positively to the earnings and revenue base of Bend Weld and Kobay Group in the future,” it said.
