Danish Agribusiness Firm to Showcase at Agrilink 2007 in Philippines

A Danish agribusiness firm, SKOV A/S,  is seeking market opportunities in the Philippines and Asia. It is joining Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink 2007 which will be staged at the World Trade Center Metro Manila on October 4 to 6, 2007.
This is SKOV A/S which manufactures climate control and production monitoring equipment for the agribusiness industry. It has set up offices in Bangkok, Thailand and is now eyeing the Philippines as a potential market for its products.
“The Philippines has shown great strides in its economy, with the peso winning over the dollar and more farmers, broiler growers and feeders turning to efficient ventilation for their operations. SKOV uses its wealth of experience and ideas to come up with innovative components and systems,” said SKOV Asia area sales manager Herbert Cabral.

The innovations
SKOV, according to Cabral, has supplied ventilation systems to Asia-Pacific countries like Pakistan, Australia and Thailand.
SKOV’s verntilation systems solve the environment problems posed by livestock production that essentially emits foul odor and hamper efficient operations.
SKOV A/S develops, produces and markets such systems, including components for livestock house air cleaning and production control. Their goals include annually launching “world’s first” products by investing heavily in research and development.
Innovation, according to SKOV, starts with close, day-to-day contact with farmers and business partners around the globe. This practice has yielded an effective temperature monitoring facility with an alarm system that can easily adapt to every farmer’s specific needs.
Now available in a GSM dial-up module version, the system can monitor up to 10 sections of a house using a large graphic display that shows the temperature and the alarm level.

Climate for growth
SKOV is also becoming famous for its decentralized control of air cleaners in pig houses. The decentralized control unit –DOL 256 AirClean – ensures optimum air cleaning in individual house sections based on actual need. This enables livestock operators to switch off the air cleaner in any section that is not in use.
“To further develop and grow, it’s critical for us to ensure that we and our customers and international partners develop mutual trust at work,” said regional service manager for Asia Andrew Michael Kho. “We strive to win their trust not just once, but in all our dealings – from initial contact to after-sales service on installed systems.”
SKOV guarantees customers the latest state-of-the-art solutions that can adapt to local climate and production conditions and generate optimum results. They can create the so-called “climate for growth” anywhere in the world.

The showcase
To showcase their cutting-edge technology to the Philippines and its neighboring countries, SKOV will hold seminars and exhibit its projects at this year’s Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink, the country’s biggest and most prestigious, and longest running annual international trade show on agribusiness, food and aquaculture.
SKOV will thus join the many foreign companies and members of the entire local agribusiness industry who will feature their products, services and technologies at Agrilink 2007, according to the Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development (FRLD), which is co-organizing the event with some 20 national trade association.
Inquiries or booth reservations for the triple events can be made with FRLD (tel. 8384549, 8384852, fax 8384573 or email [email protected]).
