Johan Dennelind: Ultimate Freedom Of Choise

DiGi
Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (“DiGi”) mobilised almost 1,000 of its
employees to the streets in the Klang
Valley
with a mission to
switch as many people as possible to DiGi.

This
on-ground exercise is the first-of-its-kind in Malaysia
that saw the majority of DiGi employees canvassing at six main commercial areas
in the Klang Valley. The employees informed people
about the easy process of switching their mobile service providers in the
Mobile Number Portability (MNP) environment while still keeping their phone
numbers.

DiGi’s
1-Low-Flat-Rate was the best selling point during the mission, as employees,
dressed in yellow, went around town approaching pedestrians, informing them
about the many benefits of switching to DiGi.

“We
are determined to reach out to as many people as possible and help them make an
informed decision. MNP offers the ultimate freedom of choice for people to
switch to another service provider that suits their needs best without changing
their phone numbers. Having our employees as MNP ambassadors actively involved
in switching people adds our personal touch to the interaction and carries with
it our responsibility to ensure the people they switched have made the right
decision,” explained Johan Dennelind, DiGi’s Chief Executive Officer.
And he added:

“We were literally painting the town ‘yellow’ as our enthusiastic DiGizens
came together and really got into the spirit of things. Many staff members drew
great crowds through singing and dancing. Their persistence paid off as
hundreds of people were switched successfully to DiGi during this five-hour
mission.”
