Swedish Man Found Drowned In Thailand

A man from Stockholm, 42, was found drowned in the waters off the popular tourist resort Koh Chang South East of Bangkok. It happened Wednesday November 19, 2008.
    Until now, six tourists have drowned in the area this year alone.
    The man was found lifeless by the staff from the hotel where he had been staying since late October.
    “It seems like he went for a swim alone, despite very heavy waves, a local police officer, Surawat Bootsamien,” told several Thai newspapers.
    A spokesman from The Swedish ministry of foreign affairs confirm to the Swedish newspaper Expressen that a Swedish man, age 42, has died in Thailand.
    The cause of his dead is not clear at the moment. But the Thai police does not suspect any crime involved in the death.
    The man’s family in Stockholm is informed about the tragic loss.
