Crown Princess Mary on Her Own in Bangkok

Tuesday morning the TRH The Crown Prince Couple visited Central World again. However, today they were not going around together but had different schedules and arrived in separate cars.
Crown Prince Frederik opened the business exhibition on the 22nd floor in the Centara Hotel while Crown Princess Mary attended the Lifestyle Exhibition on the ground floor in Central World.
It was obvious who the press delegation was interested in. When Crown Prince Frederik stepped out on the red carpet there was hardly any press. Then he turned his head to the right and laughed when he saw Crown Princess Mary’s entrance. Her red carpet was packed with photographers, TV-cameras and journalists and they got what they came for. The Crown Princess looked stunning in a beautiful white outfit with matching jewellery in green shades.
“Some of it is Danish design, but not my whole outfit,” the Crown Princess said to ScandMedia in Danish.
While the Crown Prince went upstairs to the business opening with HE Per Stig Møller, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Crown Princess Mary’s first visit was a bit more lively.
She started by attending a fashion show arranged by Danish Women’s Network in Bangkok. After the show it was time for the Crown Princess to pay B&O a visit at the Lifestyle Exhibition.
To welcome her was Connie Charuvastr, whose company AVIVA Décor is the exclusive dealer of 13 famous design brands in Thailand, among here Danish Bang & Olufsen and the newcomer Fritz Hansen which just opened the first shop in March.
She gave the Crown Princess a demonstration of the latest TV model, the Beovision 9.
“The Crown Princess said that her parents-in-law (TRH The Queen Magrethe and Prince Henrik) have some B&O-pieces at home,” Connie Charuvastr said after meeting the Crown Princess.
“We showed her the latest technology and she asked about the B&O sale in Thailand. It was obvious that she was well prepared and knew about us,” Connie said.
Soon Connie is going to meet another Danish Royal when HRH Prince Henrik himself is giving her his Medal of Honour for her outstanding promotion of the B&O brand in Thailand on 7 December.
Crown Princess Mary continued to the LEGO exhibition where 10 Thai children were playing with LEGO. Here, she had to help the children putting the blocks together. Monday night at the opening, Crown Princes Frederik revealed that Prince Christian has plenty of LEGO at home and it was obvious that the Crown Princess had tried building with LEGO before, in contrast to the Thai children who looked like it was the first time ever they had seen the Danish toys.
Crown Princess Mary closed the Lifestyle Exhibition by attending a fashion show by Danish Evita Peroni. The fashion show involved beautiful models who were walking around among the audience, showing Danish design and jewellery. Crown Princess Mary is very interested in fashion and it was obvious that she was enjoying the show from Evita Peroni who has 20 years anniversary this year.
Then it was time for the Crown Princess to move on with the schedule and she left for a lunch in a beautiful, traditional Thai house on Sukhumvit soi 51. Later, she visited Thailand Creative & Design Center while the Crown Prince was busy with Energy&Environmental Technology, SAS Airport Equipment and an Executive Lunch and Business Summit at Centara Grand.
After the busy schedules the Crown Prince Couple will finally meet up in the afternoon to catch a flight to Hua Hin where they have been granted an audience with Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand.
