Support for provincial public health systems

Sweden provides around USD 250 000 to the districts Tien Phuoc, Hiep Duc, Nam Tra My and Bac Tra My in Quang Nam province to develop their public health systems.
     The aid is part of a project for community-based public health development in difficult areas, jointly carried out by the Ministry of Public Health and the Swedish Embassy.
     This project comes as part of a Vietnam – Sweden health cooperation programme aimed at improving the health of children, women, the poor and ethnic minorities in difficult areas, reports VNA news agency. Prior to this the provinces of Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai and Lao Cai have received similar support.
