Capital Technology Ventures, Inc. (ICTV) has partnered with a foreign and local company to develop one-way communication technology similar to the one used by walkie-talkies.
ICTV told the bourse yesterday it had signed a deal with local firm NextMobile, Inc. and REWSS A/S, a Danish network software company with a development hub in the Philippines, to develop push-to-talk technology.
Using NextMobile’s network infrastructure, the Danish firm will develop software for Motorola, Inc.’s integrated digital enhanced network (iDEN) technology. The Motorola hardware is similar to analog cellular two-way radio systems, but with a bigger reach.
