INBC Pays Tribute To ibu Retno

The Indonesia Norway Business Council (INBC) has paid tribute to former ambassador to Norway, ibu Retno L.P. Marsudi. President of the INBC, Mr Tor Fjæran, presented ibu Retno with a symbolic life-long honorary membership of their organization recently.
    During a dinner organized by the INBC celebrating the upcoming holidays, Director General for American and European Affairs and former ambassador to Norway, ibu Retno L.P. Marsudi was honoured with a token of appreciation for her efforts for increased business relationships between Norway and Indonesia.
    “As an ambassador to Norway, she contributed greatly to an even better bilateral relationship between Norway and Indonesia, as she is a strong believer in that geographical distances shouldn’t hamper efforts to promote bilateral relations.”, Mr Fjæran said in his speech to Retno, who served as an ambassador to Norway between December 2005 and June 2008.
    Mr Fjæran went on to say that (as an ambassador) “several Norwegian companies have benefited from her experience and advice. She repeatedly offered to utilize her wide and considerable network in order to support Norwegian business in Indonesia.”
    “In recognition of her excellent achievements as Indonesian ambassador to Norway, as well as her relentless support and hard work for increased Norway and Indonesia business relations, the INBC awards her life-long honorary membership in our organization”, Mr Fjæran concluded.
