Finland confirms cotinued ODA-support for Vietnam

During the official visit by Vietnamese Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan in Helsinki, Finland affirmed that it will continue prioritising ODA for Vietnam. The European country committed to support the south-eastern country by more than 46 million USD in ODA this year – a 47 percent increase over last year and the highest level so far.
The Vietnamese side pledged to create favourable conditions for Finnish businesses to make long-term investment in Vietnam, for example by investments in shipbuilding, telecoms, energy, furniture production and environmental protection in the country. The two countries highly appreciated positive achievements in their labour cooperation, affirming that this is an area with potential for further development. Vietnam and Finland agreed to promote cooperation in vocational training, meeting the demands of the two markets.
