Indonesian FM in Norway for grant meeting

Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda and his Norwegian counterpart are scheduled to meet in Oslo on Monday to discuss the establishment of a peace institute in Bali.
“We expect the meeting will lead to the signing of a memorandum of understanding, in which Norway will commit to about US$2.5 million in grants for the establishment of the Institute For Peace and Democracy as a follow-up to the Bali Democracy forum last December,” Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Teuku Faizasyah said Sunday to Vietnamnet.com.
He said the grant would be the initial capital for the establishment of the institute, and Indonesia would be responsible for covering its operational costs. The institute will be hosted by the Udayana University in Bali.
From Oslo, Hassan will continue his journey to Cuba from 29-30 April to attend a preparatory meeting for the Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Egypt in July.
