Norway has made a book donation to the National Library of Vietnam to set up a temporary book display in recognition of the May 17 Constitution Day.
The set of books, worth US$17,800, covers a wide range of topics including several books on Norway and its history, culture, arts, literature, science and technology.
At the book donation ceremony held on May 14, a DVD was shown highlighting the Scandinavian country and its people. In addition, a presentation on the Norwegian Government’s Vietnam Strategy outlined the bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The book display will be set up from May 14-20.
“It is my hope that this [donation] will contribute to more knowledge about Norway, its people and culture among Vietnamese readers,” Norwegian Ambassador to Vietnam Kjell Storløkken said at the donation ceremony.
