The film week will take place in Hanoi from June 9-13 and in HCM City from June 11-15, featuring the best Swedish films in 2006-2007.These movies include: “Desmon and the Swamp Barbarian Trap” by Magnus Carlsson, “Darling” by Johan Kling, “Storm” by Linus Sandgren, “Suddenly” by Johan Brisinger, “Kids” by Ylva Gustafsson-Catti Edfelt and “Butterfly” by Kjell- Ake Andersson.
In Hanoi, these movies will be screened for free at the National Cinema Centre and Ngoc Khanh Cinematheque at 523 Kim Ma Street. Tickets are available at Kim Ma Cinema, 200 tickets for each movie. In HCM City, the films will be introduced at Dong Da Cinema, 890 Tran Hung Dao and Tan Son Nhat Cinema, 186 Nguyen Van Troi. Tickets are distributed at Dong Da Cinema for “Butterfly” and at Tan Son Nhat Cinema for all five movies.
The programme is co-organised by the Vietnam Film Institute and the Swedish Film Institute as part of a Swedish-government-funded cultural support project for Vietnam in 2005-2009 and to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Sweden diplomatic relations.
