The big anniversary celebration took place Saturday at the Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa in Singapore, and 260 guests attended the celebrations. 245 Danes from DABS and other parts of the Danish community in Singapore and 15 guests from Singaporean partners.
“It was an excellent evening. We have a party every year at this time, but this years’ festival was the biggest and best we’ve ever had,” says Jan Lund, who is in charge of communication at DABS and participated in the festival.

According to Jan Lund, Ellemann-Jensen presented an intelligent and interesting speech to the party, where he touched many different topics. He talked about his views on the world situation in 1984 when he, as a Danish Foreign Minister gave speeches at DABS’ founding meeting, and he talked about his vision of the world today.
Jan Lund explains that Uffe Ellemann-Jensen has played a special role for the Danish Business Association of Singapore. He was present at the general meeting 25 years ago and he has also participated in events with them since.
