Two Foreigners Drown Off the Coast of Pattaya

A chartered boat carrying 30 tourists from Pattaya to Koh Larn collided with a speed boat. Two foreigners reported drowned in the accident and two others severely injured while another is probably missing. It appears the two drowned tourists are Taiwanese.

ScandAsia has talked to Pattaya Tourist Police, and they have confirmed that none of the two drowned tourists are Scandinavian.
Tourist Police in Pattaya could also explain that the accident occurred earlier today when two small speedboats with around 15 people in each collided halfway between Pattaya and Koh Larn. The police is right now present at the hospital in Pattaya, where the 30 passengers are located and the injured are recieving treatment.
Police in Pattaya now describe the two deceased as a Chinese-Taiwanese, but their exact nationality is unknown yet.

The Tourist Police in Pattaya now states to ScandAsia that the 26 tourists from the accident are now back at their hotels and that they have been recommended by doctors at the hospital to relax.
Police say also that there are two dead, and in addition to that two missing, presumed to have perished in the waves. The four were on a trip arranged by a Chinese tour when they bumped into another boat with other foreigners such as Britons and Russians.
The accident occurred shortly before 11 o’clock, police said.
There were no Scandinavians involved in the accident.
