The Swedish Embassies in Jakarta and Singapore together with the Swedish Business Association in Jakarta and Singapore will organize a Swedish Business Delegation to Indonesia. The business delegation will depart from Singapore on Sunday 31 January in the afternoon and the delegates will return from Jakarta on Tuesday 2 February 2010 in the evening.
In the invitation the two ambassadors, Ewa Polano,  Ambassador of Sweden to Indonesia and Pär Ahlberger, Ambassador of Sweden to Singapore explain that the purpose of the visit is to identify business opportunities and to get a better understanding of the economic and political developments in Indonesia.
“Having been worst hit by the Asian economic crisis 1997-98, Indonesia has now outperformed other major economies in Southeast Asia in 2009 and in fact most other countries in the world,” the ambassadors write.
“Given Indonesia’s strong growth prospects, there is a great opportunity to significantly increase our trade and investment in the future. Some 50 Sweden related companies are present in Indonesia, many of them showing a good growth and positive future prospects,” they add.
The fees per participating company is USD 800 per person and USD 500 for each additional person from the same company – to cover the preparatory work before and during the visit, local transport and meals within the common official programme.
