On Thursday Afternoon, Police and Rescue Services were called to Pattaya Third Road in front of the Bliss Lounge Bar and Restaurant located opposite Xzyte Discotheque following reports of a foreign man who had collapsed and died outside of the bar.
Police arrived and inspected the body of Mr. Lars Vilhelm Lyngarth aged 50 who is thought to hold a Swedish and American passport. The man is known to be a retired member of the US Military and had come to the bar to see a friend when he complained of back pains and collapsed.
He then fell to the floor and appeared to be having a heart attack. An ambulance was called to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead-at-the-scene. Police confirmed that the death did not appear suspicious in any way, although the exact cause of death will not be known until the results of a post mortem examination are received by Police.
