Dane Leads Pattaya Bed Race 2010

Niels Colov, the Danish owner of Pattaya People and related media companies, is the Organizing Chairman of this year’s “Pattaya International Bed Race 2010” on Sunday 31 January.
It costs only 5,000 baht to join with a Bed Racing Team. A team can consist of up to 6 members – preferrably dressed as outrageous and funny as possible – pushing their often spectacularly decorated beds from a designated starting point to the finishing line.
The race will start at 12.00 noon on Pattaya Second Road in front of The Avenue Pattaya shopping mall. From there, teams will turn through Soi 12 down to Beach Road, then turn left down South Pattaya Road and then left back into Second Road to the finishing line in front of The Avenue Pattaya.
Both before and after the race, a whole day’s programme of acticities are planned with lots of entertainment including a bed parade. There will be a Family Fair with games and lots of fun and after the actual bed race there will be a big Rotary New Year Party.
The Bed Race is a follow up on last year’s Bed Race which received extensive media coverage.
“This year will be bigger with more than 20,000 people attending with an expected 100 bed teams taking part,” writes Niels Colov in the invitation to join the event.
“Hopefully, the race will bring all the bars, clubs, community groups and businesses together and attract sponsors for this unique, not to be missed, event in Thailand,” ha adds.
