Swedish Culinary Festival in Jakarta

Between the 1st and 6th of June, the Swedish Embassy in Jakarta has organized a Culinary Festival. Swedish food lovers will be able to indulge in delicacies such as salmon, Skagen toast, and “dillstuvad” potatoes.

The Swedish Culinary Festival will run at the Shangri-La throughout the whole week and will come to an end on the National Day of Sweden, the 6th of June.

The festival is taking place at Restaurant Satoo on the first floor of the Shangri-La in Jakarta, and every day a new menu will be served. A few of the items on the menu include Toast Skagen, Salmon, “Dillstuvad” Potatoes, Biff à la Lindström, Crumble Rhubarb/Raspberry Pie, and Hovdessert with Chocolate Sauce.

The National Day will be celebrated at the Shangri-La restaurant as well with a Swedish Smörgårdsbord (or open sandwich buffet) created by the Swedish chefs Lotta and Johan Lassesson in cooperation with the hotel’s own chef, Pak Andy Yew.

The Swedish food corner will be a part of the international buffet lunch and dinner all week.
