New Regional Manager of SAS Asia

A popular SAS Manager is leaving Copenhagen behind and sets out for Thailand. Niels Henrik Hansen has with a varied background and career been appointed Regional Manager of SAS in Asia, and his new base will be in Bangkok.

For the past two years, he has served as Manager of the SAS cabin crew in Copenhagen.

In a letter to his staff, he writes:

“It has been a great pleasure to work with all of you. However, I have decided to accept a new position which gives me a unique opportunity to live out a life long dream.”

There is hardly any doubt that it has been a tough time for him because it was the Danish cabin crew who took the longest to back down during the negotiations on the cut back plan.

Niels Henrik Hansen settles for writing:

“It has been a challenging time, not only for our common business, but also for me personally. Together, we have fought for SAS and we are well on our way of pulling through the worst crisis ever.”

Niels Henrik Hansen starts his new job on July 1st, and SAS has yet to find a replacement for him in Copenhagen.
