Danish Outdoor Clothing Made in Vietnam

After successful implementation of a pilot project, Spectre A/S Denmark and Minh Tri Limited Company Vietnam have decided to set up a Joint Venture (JV) to produce outdoor sports clothing production in Thai Binh province.

Spectre and Minh Tri have built a new JV named Spectre Vietnam in Thai Binh province which is known as one of the important garment areas of Vietnam with a large young work force. The new factory is equipped with two new sewing lines and automatic cutter and ready for volume orders from customers in German, Taiwan, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA.

Spectre A/S was found in 1947 and specializes in European outdoor sport clothing such as soft-shell jackets, fleece jackets, technical underwear and t-shirts. Spectre has 500 employees in Denmark and Latvia, and is now expanding its operation in Vietnam with Minh Tri. Minh Tri was started in 1995 with 50 employees, and expanded its operation to meet customer demands by building the second factory in 2001 with 800 employees, and the third factory in 2005 with 2,400 workers.

With the support of DKK 4,000,000 from the B2B programme, the partners will create 200 more new jobs with 75% female workers by 2013 for Thai Binh province, and further develop their Joint Venture factory on their long term commercial perspective.
