The Danish gymnastic team of skilled athletes, The National Danish Performance Team, arrives Singapore today Wednesday 2 February 2011 for a two week long visit. During the visit in Singapore there will be two public appearances where Danes as well as Singaporeans may enjoy their excellent performance built on the Danish gymnastics tradition and culture. 14 men and 14 women in the age 20 to 28 years-old forms the team.
The World Tour 2011 arrives from their previous stop in Australia. Prior to that, they toured America since 1 October 2010. In Singapore their first performance will be at the Overseas Family School on Saturday the 5th at 11.00. On the 11-12th they will join the Chingay Parade at the Pit Building (Next to the Singapore Flyer) celebrating the Chinese New Year. Both performances are free.
As usual, the team will stay with local families and the days between the shows will be spend together with the hosting families exploring the culture and lifestyle of Singapore.
The mission of the team is to inspire and motivate to a healthy life style and to have a mutual exchange of cultural experiences with people all over the world.
