Swedish Minister of Health and Social Affairs, H.E. Mr. Göran Hägglund, visited Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur 3-5 April. Minister Hägglund was leading a Swedish business delegation consisting of some 15 company representatives from the Swedish Health Care sector. The visit was jointly organised by the Embassy of Sweden in Kuala Lumpur and the Swedish Trade Council.

The programme included a seminar on the Swedish Health Care System, arranged by National University of Malaysia (UKM), and visits to two of the most renowned and seminal hospitals in Kuala Lumpur – Prince Court Medical Centre and the National Heart Institute.

The Minister and the business delegates, were invited for lunch by the Malaysian Minister of Health YB Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, during which further cooperation and development of the already excellent relations between Sweden and Malaysia was discussed.
