Dtac Owners Downgrade Singapore Listing Status

Shareholders of Total Access Communication PCL, Thailand’s second largest mobile phone operator by subscribers, Thursday approved a plan to change its listing status on the main board of the Singapore bourse to secondary from primary listing.
The company has however no immediate intention to delist from the Singapore stock market, Chairman Boonchai Bencharongkul told shareholders at the meeting.
Total Access Communication PCL – better known for its DTAC brand – is controlled by Norway’s Telenor. It was listed on the Singapore bourse in 1995, and became a listed company in Thailand in 2007. Trading of the company’s shares on the Singapore market has dropped significantly after it dual-listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
