On Friday, August 26 2011 at 17 o´clock the Norwegian Church in Thailand will present “The Church on wheels” in front of the police station at the beginning of Khao San Road from Chakraphong Road in Bangkok.
There will be servings of coffee and waffles and the Church on Wheels will be a regular from October this year, every week at the same place in Khao San Road.
“We will be ready with our new mobile church, ready to meet the Norwegian and Scandinavian youth, serving coffee and waffles in this most famous backpacker street. This is a new project that we start in October”, says Jan Olav, priest at the church and continues:
“We hope that this will be an exciting gathering point for backpackers, where they can meet the Norwegian Church in Thailand and enjoy coffee and waffles, get useful information about Thailand and neighboring countries, and not at least get to know what to do if the journey is not quite as planned”.
