Flybe Nordic Starts Operating 30 October

Flybe Nordic – new regional Scandinavian airline owned by British Flybe and Finnair – will start operating on 30 October 2011 serving the Nordic and Baltic countries, says Finnair. Almost all the first 24 routes are centered around service to and from Finland, Finnish domestic flights, routes between Finland and Sweden, as well as to and from the Baltic countries. Flybe Nordic has ambition to be Scandinavia’s new regional airline, however none of the first routes are going to Denmark or Norway.

Flybe Nordic was established through the acquisition of Finnish Commuter Airlines. Flybe owns 60% and 40% of Finnair.
