Norwegian companies urged to sign Integrity Pledge

Speaking at a Networking Luncheon, the President of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Mr. Hubert d’Aboville, encouraged the Filipino – Norwegian business community to help eradicate corruption.


Recently, the newly established Philippines Norway Business Council (PNBC) held its second Networking Luncheon for Filipino and Norwegian business representatives. The keynote speaker of the event was the President of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), Mr. Hubert d’Aboville.


Mr. d’Aboville told the participants about the Integrity Pledge, – a multisectoral campaign to combat corruption in the Philippines, and said the PNBC members should join this important initiative.


The pledge, which is expected to be signed by the Philippine president Benigno S. Aquino on September 14.


The PNBCs Networking Luncheon was attended by almost 40 people, among them the Norwegian Ambassador to the Philippines, Mr. Knut Solem.
