The 4th Annual EU Film Festival in China will take place from November 1st to November 30th, 2011 in the cities of Beijing, Chengdu and Shenzhen, and will offer a wide variety of Feature and Short Films from all over the European Union.
The audience can discover new EU movies that will be screened either in commercial theaters in Beijing from November 1st to November 14th, in Chengdu from November 16 to November 22 and in Shenzhen from November 24 to November 30, or in Beijing cultural institutes from November 15 to November 30.
Each film will be screened in their original language with English and Chinese subtitles.
The featured films from Scandinavian countries will be:
Denmark: Kærestesorger (Aching Hearts) by Nils Malmros (125 min, Romance / Drama)
Sweden: Miss Kicki by Håkon Liu (88 min, Drama)
Sweden: Music For One Apartment And Six Drummers by Ola Simonsson, Johannes Stjärne Nilsson (10 min, Music)
The EU film festival, which is organised by the Delegation of the European Union to China and supported by the Embassy of Poland, current holders of the revolving EU Presidency, invite EU Member States to showcase one recent, popular and successful film. Such a wide and diverse selection will enable the Chinese general public to discover the new faces of European cinema.
