Peter Nyman, 48, died October 8 2011 in a motorbike accident in Karon, Phuket. Mr. Nyman ran a guesthouse on Phuket.
Mr. Nyman died when he overshot a curve just 300 meters from his home on his motorcycle and struck a power pole, said Chalong Police to the paper, Phuket Gazette reporting on the case.
According to the police the crash was apparently the result of bad heavy rain and the slippery road surface, tells the paper.
“Peter Nyman had lived in Phuket for almost a year. He lived with his Swedish girlfriend and they ran a guesthouse together in Karon,” a consular official at the Swedish Embassy told the Phuket Gazette.
Mr Nyman’s relatives in Sweden have been notiffied and are now in contact with the Swedish Embassy and police regarding the possible repatriation of his remains, Chalong Police told the paper.
