On October 15 the 18th Sino-Swedish Joint Committee meeting (JC-meeting) will be held in Guangzhou, China. The JC-meeting is Sweden and China’s most important bilateral trade and investment dialogue and has been held continuously since the late 1970’s. Bilateral cooperation in various fields, multilateral trade affairs, and business related issues between Sweden and China are discussed at the JC-meeting.
The JC-meeting on October 15 will be chaired by China’s Vice Minister of Commerce Mr. Zhong Shan, and the Sweden’s State Secretary for Foreign Trade Mr. Gunnar Oom.
State Secretary Oom will also attend the opening ceremony of the Canton Fair on October 14. As part of the opening ceremony State Secretary Oom will speak at a WTO-forum on the theme “China 10 years in the WTO”. Many Chinese and foreign high level officials will participate.
