Fredrik Jacobson takes the lead in Shanghai

Sweden’s Fredrik Jacobson continued his good form to move into the lead during the second round of the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions.

Two behind first-round leader Keegan Bradley overnight, the Swede erased the deficit with four birdies in an outward 32.

A further gain at the seventh – his 16th – took Jacobson, third last week inMalaysia, to ten under and one clear of US PGA Champion Bradley.

The 25 year old American added to his stunning opening 65 with an eagle at the second and birdie at the fourth, although a bogey at the ninth cost him a share of the lead.

Former Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen and Australian Adam Scott – winner of the last WGC event at Firestone – were a shot further back on eight under, with Paul Casey and Thongchai Jaidee amongst those on seven under.
