Vietnamese premier minister urges Carlsberg to expand in Vietnam

The Vietnamese premier minister urges Danish brewery Carlsberg to expand their investment in Vietnam.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked Danish beer maker Carlsberg to expand its investment in Vietnam, according to Vietnam Plus.

The request happened during a reception in Hanoi on September 12 for Carlsberg CEO Cees‘t Hart.

The prime minister suggested that Carlsberg increases their production to the full designed capacity at its plant in Phu Bai, in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.

He added that Vietnam is accelerating the signing of the European Union-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement. According to the prime minister it will open up favourable conditions for both Danish and Vietnamese enterprises.

CEO of Carlsberg Cees’t Hart said that Carlsberg is keen on expanding operations in Vietnam.

Carlsberg has been present in Vietnam since 2007.
