Air China will launch a new route connecting Beijing, Copenhagen and Reykjavik on 26 October 2026, creating a direct air link between the Chinese capital and Iceland via Denmark.
The service will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays using an Airbus A330-300 configured with 30 lie-flat Business Class seats and 271 Economy Class seats.
On the outbound journey, Flight CA807 will depart Beijing Capital International Airport at 03:30, arrive at Copenhagen Airport at 06:30, before continuing at 08:45 to Keflavík International Airport in Iceland. The new service expands Air China’s European network while reinforcing Copenhagen Airport’s role as a key gateway between Asia and the Nordic region. Passengers travelling from Beijing will gain direct access to both Denmark and Iceland, while travellers from Scandinavia will have another option for flights to China.
The airline said the route is intended to improve connectivity for both business and leisure travellers while supporting tourism and trade between China and Northern Europe.
For Copenhagen Airport, the addition further strengthens its position as Scandinavia’s leading international aviation hub. The airport already serves as an important transfer point between Asia and the Nordic countries, and the new Air China service adds capacity on one of the region’s key long-haul markets.
The route is also expected to benefit Iceland’s tourism industry by making the country more accessible to Chinese travellers while providing Icelandic passengers with a convenient one-stop connection to Beijing.
The launch reflects the continued recovery and expansion of air services between China and Europe, with airlines gradually rebuilding their long-haul networks and responding to growing demand for travel between Asia and the Nordic region.
