AstraZeneca’s China president, Leon Wang, is now under investigation by Chinese authorities, the company announced in a press release.
Earlier this fall, Bloomberg News reported that several current and former employees were detained by Chinese police, though it remains unclear if there is a connection between the cases.
AstraZeneca stated that, if requested, it will fully cooperate with the investigation.
