Recently, Prince Christian of Denmark turned 18. Now, Scandinavia is about to celebrate another age milestone. Namely when Queen Silvia of Sweden turns 80 on 23 December, 2023. Just around Christmas, one of the most hectic holidays of the year.
Therefore, to make sure the Queen is ‘celebrated properly,’ the Royal Court said festivities will begin in early November. For instance, on 5 November, a royal birthday concert will take place at Drottningholm Palace in honor of the Swedish queen. According to Svenskdam, it will be the traditional musical celebration of the Royal Theatre which usually takes place on 23 December.
So far, any other official plans have not yet been revealed to the public.
