Dane in fatal motorbike crash in Thailand

Claus Jensen, a 50 year old tourist from Denmark died on 18 January following an accident where his motorbike hit a truck making u-turn in Kathu, Phuket.

At the scene, the police found the truck at the U-turn point and under the truck they found Mr. Jensen and his motorbike with its front heavily demolished.

Bleeding and unconscious, Mr. Jensen was pulled from underneath of the truck by the rescue team.

Then, he was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to the police, Sontaya Suchakahas, the Phuket truck driver waiting at the scene, has been charged with causing death from making a suddenly u turn and reckless driving.
