The Danish Ambassador to Malaysia, Kirstine Vangkilde Berner, hosted the Danish national badminton team and their coaches at the residence ahead of this week’s Malaysia Open in Kuala Lumpur.
The Malaysia Open is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the international badminton calendar and forms part of the BWF World Tour Super 1000 series, attracting the world’s top-ranked players. Denmark is represented as one of the leading badminton nations globally, with a long tradition of elite players competing at the highest international level.
According to the embassy, the evening brought together players, coaches and diplomatic staff in an informal setting before the tournament got underway. The event was held as a show of support for the Danish team ahead of their matches.
The ambassador wished the players success at the tournament and said the embassy looks forward to following their performances from the sidelines.
