The Danish Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DanCham) facilitated a reportedly constructive dialogue on environmental, social and governance (ESG) collaboration with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) on Friday.

The meeting was a follow-up to discussions held with MIDA last month and brought together Syed Kamal Muzaffa, Director of MIDA’s Sustainability Division, along with his ESG team, the Ambassador of Denmark to Malaysia H.E. Kirstine Vangkilde Berner, and Head of Trade Mark Perry. DanCham was represented by Chairperson Pearl Lai.

Talks centered on advancing ESG initiatives as global businesses increasingly align their strategies with sustainability and responsible growth. The exchange highlighted opportunities where Danish expertise and local initiatives can complement one another, ranging from sustainable business practices and capacity building to cross-border partnerships.

DanCham expressed gratitude to Ambassador Berner and Mark Perry for hosting theD session at the Danish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, noting that the meeting underscored new pathways for cooperation between Danish and Malaysian companies.
