Danish Consul General Jens Alsbirk visited Suzhou this week, beginning the year with a cultural programme, according to the Danish Consulate.
The visit included a tour of the newly opened Museum of Contemporary Art, designed by the Danish architecture firm BIG. The Consul General also visited the Master of the Nets Garden, one of Suzhou’s historic gardens.
The programme concluded at the China Film Archive’s cinema, where Consul General Alsbirk attended a Danish film festival. He gave opening remarks before the final screening of Palo’s Wedding, a film conceptualised by Danish-Greenlandic polar explorer Knud Rasmussen.
