Danish pig industry explores opportunities in Mindanao

Following last year’s visit to Bangkok, the Danish Pig Strategic Business Alliance has continued its Southeast Asia outreach with a visit to the Philippines from 20 to 25 March 2025. The delegation is part of a coordinated effort by the Danish Embassies in Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam to promote Danish expertise in efficient and sustainable pig production.

This second event in the series brought Danish companies to Davao City and Manila, where they engaged in business forums, company visits, and B2B meetings with key players in the Philippine swine industry.

In Davao City, the delegation toured the newly AA-rated Production and Slaughter House, which meets high standards for meat processing. The visit showcased opportunities in the Mindanao region and highlighted the interest among local stakeholders in Danish pig farming technology and solutions.

Participating Danish companies included AVS Agric, Danish Farm Design, DanBred, SundsAlfa, Spanvall, VissingAgro, and SKOV A/S.

The embassies expressed appreciation to their local partners, including the Davao Chamber of Commerce, and invited other stakeholders interested in joining future activities to reach out.
