Danish Princess Benedikte praises Cambodia’s Angkor Wat during official visit

Princess Benedikte of Denmark has visited Angkor Wat in Cambodia, one of the world’s most significant UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Khmer Times reports.

She was accompanied during the visit by Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism, Huot Hak, and guided by Dr Pich Chanmony as she toured the ancient temple complex.

The Princess expressed strong appreciation for the site, noting its remarkable architecture, historical depth, and cultural importance.

She described Angkor Wat as a valuable heritage site for Cambodia and a legacy of importance to the wider world.

Angkor Wat continues to attract visitors from around the globe and stands as a central symbol of Cambodia’s historical identity and civilization.

The visit also served to underline the positive relations between Denmark and Cambodia, particularly in relation to cultural exchange and the shared commitment to preserving and promoting global heritage sites.
