The Danish company Damco opened a new warehouse in Hai Phong in early May. Damco is a pioneer in the logistic sector in Vietnam with more than 400 employees and has been operating and investing in Vietnam for more than 20 years.
“Damco has invested in this new facility and underlined its ambition to further provide customers with international, regional and local transportation services recognizing the opportunity brought about by the improvements of Vietnam’s roads as well as newly-developed air and seaports” said Danish Ambassador John Nielsen in his opening speech.
The warehouse will recruit many local employees, who will receive high-quality Danish training and acquire valuable on-the-job knowledge and skills. “The investment demonstrates Damco’s commitment to trade development in Vietnam, which, I hope, will inspire other Danish and international companies. says John Nielsen.
