Danish Embassy co-hosted food management workshop

The Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam and the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development co-presented a workshop on food safety management functions held on Tuesday, May 7.

Sponsored by the Danida Fellowship Centre–a self-governing institution providing research facilities, studies and training modules under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, the knowledge-sharing workshop was a great opportunity for the participant to share their knowledge and experiences gaining in Denmark to improve the food safety management functions in Vietnam.

The participants of the workshop consisted Danish representatives and Vietnamese scholars who have attended either short-term or long-term studies in Denmark and currently are employees of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

At the event, the presentation on the concepts of capacity development in Vietnam’s food safety management functions was delivered by Morten Pristed, the Embassy’s Education Counsellor.
