When the Danish Film Festival in the Philippines starts on 9 October 2019, the opening screening will be of the Filipino-produced and directed film ‘Nuuk’.

The film is shot in the autonomous territory of Denmark, Greenland, and is the first of its kind as a Filipino film has never been been shot in this location before, CNN reports.

Nuuk, which is also the capital of Greenland, is directed by Veronica Velasco. It stars Aga Muhlach and Alice Dixson, whom are previous coworkers having appeared on screen together in the 1992 ‘Sinungaling Mong Puso’.

Apart from Nuuk, viewers can look forwards to numerous Danish films for both children and adults.

The Danish Film Festival takes place at Cinema 4 of the Red Carpet, Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City.

Tickets are free and handed out to attendees at a first come, first served basis.
