(VOV) – There is great potential for economics, trade, energy and environment protection cooperation between Finland and Vietnam.
Finish Ambassador to Vietnam Kimmo Lahdevirta made the statement at a seminar in Binh Duong on November 19 to discuss investment opportunities and support tools to promote trade links between Vietnam and Finland.
Ambassador Kimmo spoke of the business environment in Finland and North European countries, especially opportunities and online support tools for Vietnamese businesses to access these markets.
Finland is strong in shipbuilding, information technology, machinery and equipment and health care.
Environment protection is given priority in its development policy. Recently, the Finish Government has donated nearly 8 million euro to build a solid waste treatment complex in Binh Duong province.
At the seminar, local businesses raised questions related to Finland’s trade policies and customs procedures.
They had a direct exchange with the Finish Ambassador about the possibility of seeking cooperation partners in the country.
