Finnair Cargo doubles capacity to Vietnam

Finnair’s cargo business unit is expanding in Vietnam with doubled capacity.

From June, Finnair Cargo’s total cargo capacity from Europe to Vietnam doubles from 155 to 315 tonnes, with 270 tonnes carried by MD11F freighter and 45 tonnes by A340.fin_vn_finnaircargo

From the end of this month, Finnair Cargo is adding a third weekly frequency on its Hanoi route.

It is now offering departures from Helsinki to Hanoi on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and return flights back to Europe on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

On June 2, Finnair also starts seasonal passenger flights, which will offer increased cargo capacity to and from Hanoi on board an Airbus A340 three times a week until September 23.

According to forecasts of the International Air Transport Association, Vietnam is the fastest growing cargo market in the world for the next five years.
